What is an Access Key?
The Curio Access Key is a simple and secure mechanism that allows you to access content outside the walls of your institution without requiring a profile on the platform.
Install the access key to your browser
- Go to your school with your device (computer, tablet, phone, etc.).
- Connect to your institution's network from your device.
- The access key will be automatically installed on the device's browser for a period of 30 days.
Once outside this network (for example, when working from home), the access key, which has been installed on your device, will allow you to use Curio as if you were still at your institution.
Renewing your access key
The access key is renewed each time your device connects to your institution's network.
However, it will expire if your device remains unconnected to your institution's network for more than 30 days. In the event that you are disconnected, you can simply bring back your device at school and connect it to your establishment's network again in order to reactivate your access key.
Create your profile for personalized access
The Access Key also allows you to create a personalized profile on Curio.
To do so, make sure your access key is activated on your device and use your institutional email address.
