How to manage your cookies
Types of Cookies
There are a few different types of cookies we rely on to deliver Curio content to you:
Strictly necessary cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are needed for Curio to work.
Functionality cookies
Functionality cookies are needed for specific features of Curio to work, such as our surveys and polls regarding whether you like our content.
Performance cookies
Performance cookies help us understand how well the Curio site is working. We need them to find out what errors are happening on the site and to create statistical reports of our audiences. Without measuring what content our audience is reading, watching and listening to, or if something is preventing them from doing so, we wouldn't know how to improve.
Browser Controls and Cookie Blockers
You can control cookies through your browser. In your browser settings, you can delete cookies individually or block cookies from a specific site. You can also set notifications that allow you to accept or reject a cookie.
For more on how to control cookies through your browser, please see below:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
- Microsoft Internet Explorer
- Opera
- Apple Safari for Mac or Apple Safari on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
You can also block cookies by downloading a cookie blocker. Please note this will stop some Curio products from working properly, if not entirely, on your computer. Specifically, your access to audio and video content may be affected.
If you do choose to download a cookie blocker, we would ask that you please consider whitelisting Chartbeat, Adobe and Amplitude so that we are able to receive a minimum amount of useful information about how you're using our site.
